Dated this the 8th day of November 2019

The petitioner, a part-time Sweeper working in Kollam District

Co-operative Bank, approached this Court seeking a direction against

the Society to promote him in the light of Ext.P3 order passed by the

Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Kollam. The promotion is to

the higher post of Peon. The Joint Registrar, after adverting to the ratio

of 10:9:1 for filling up the vacancies, directed the Bank to consider the

petitioner for promotion. The stand of the Bank is that there are no

vacancies to consider the petitioner based on the ratio as above.

In the light of Ext.P3 order passed by Joint Registrar, an

appropriate decision shall be taken by the Bank within a period of three

weeks.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
