This writ petition is filed seeking Police protection to the life and property of the petitioner and members of the family against respondents 5 and 6 and their men. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner in absolute possession of a property in Pattithara Village of Pattambi Taluk and that there is a residential building in the property. He contends that the sister of respondents 5 and 6 is in possession of the property and there is civil dispute with regard to the eviction of the sister of respondents 5 and 6 from his property. It is further contended that respondents 5 and 6 are threatening the petitioner and requiring him to withdraw the suit failing which he is threatened with bodily injury. Though a complaint was preferred before the Police by the petitioner, there is no action on the part of the Police authorities.

A counter affidavit has been filed by the 6th respondent contending that the petitioner is a money lender and the husband of the sister and respondents 5 and 6 had borrowed money from the petitioner's assignors.
