This writ petition is preferred seeking directions to

the third respondent to allow the students of the petitioner

school to participate in the hockey championship arranged in

connection with the Revenue District Schools Athletics & Games

Meet representing the Ernakulam Sub District.

The petitioner school has not participated in

the Sub District level competition and consequently the

students from the petitioner school were not selected to

participate in the Revenue District level competition. The case

set out by the petitioner is that they could not register for

participation in the Sub District level competition for want of

sufficient notice and that therefore they shall be given an

opportunity to participate in the Revenue District level

competition representing the Sub District.

The learned Government Pleader, on

instructions, submitted that the case set out by the petitioner

that they were not communicated sufficiently in advance the

requirement of the registration cannot be accepted as the

school has registered for other events. It was also pointed out

by the learned Government Pleader that the Revenue District

Level Competitions ha
