O R D E R
The revision petitioner was convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323 and 324 r/w 34 IPC by the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Irinjalakuda in the case C.C.No.1243/2007. He was sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of three months each for the offences punishable under Sections 341 and 323 r/w 34 IPC and simple imprisonment for a period of six months and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/- for the offence punishable under Section 324 r/w 34 IPC and in default of payment of fine to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one month.
2. The revision petitioner filed Crl.A.No.21/2011 challenging the conviction entered and sentence passed against him by the learned Magistrate. As per the judgment dated 16.08.2017 in Crl.A.No.21/2011, the appellate court confirmed the conviction of the revision petitioner under Sections 341,323 and 324 r/w 34 IPC. However, the sentence passed against him by the trial court was modified. The appellate court sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of fifteen days for the offence punishable under Section 341 IPC and to imprisonment till rising of the court and to pay a compensation of Rs. 6,000/-
