JUDGMENT

Legal heirs of a deceased employee of the 1st respondent Board are the petitioners. Grievance is regarding non-disbursal of remaining terminal benefits including DCRG and Provident Fund due to the deceased employee. According to the petitioners, despite submission of Ext.P7 succession certificate, the amounts due were not paid. Hence the petitioners are seeking appropriate directions.

2. Learned standing counsel for the respondents, on the basis of instructions received, submitted that, based on the succession certificate produced the amounts due under the Employees Welfare Fund had already disbursed through Cheque dated 31.05.2013. It is also mentioned that amounts due in the Provident Fund account, to the tune of Rs.2,80,044/- was also disbursed on 13.01.2014. As far as the Family Pension and Gratuity are concerned, verification of service records and approval of pay has to be obtained, which requires some more time. It is submitted that necessary steps will be taken to disburse the remaining benefits expeditiously.
