JUDGMENT

Surendra Mohan, J The petitioner is before us challenging exhibit P5 order of the Admission Supervisory Committee for Professional Colleges in Kerala, the first respondent herein. As per exhibit P5, the first respondent has directed the return of an amount of Rs.4,34,000/- to either the second respondent or the additional third respondent within one month from the date of the order. As per the order, the amount would carry interest at the rate of 12% per annum, if the same was not paid within a period of one month from the date of the order. The order is dated 11.07.2017. This Writ Petition was admitted on 21.08.2017 and an interim order of stay of exhibit P5 granted on the said date is still in force.

2. The short facts leading up to the dispute are summarised as under:-

The additional third respondent is the daughter of the second respondent. The third respondent was admitted to the college of the petitioner to the B.Tech Civil Engineering Course under the NRI (Non Resident Indian) quota on 02.08.2014.
