JUDGMENT
This writ petition has been filed inter alia seeking for a direction to the first respondent to permit the fourth respondent to receive the petitioners' application for D Pharm Course and for a further direction that the respondents are under obligation to extend the last date of receipt of applications for admission by three days.
2. The contention urged by the petitioners is that eight seats are vacant in the fourth respondent due to non- availability of the students. Though the last date for receiving applications was on 15.8.2016, due to public holidays, the petitioners could not submit the applications in time and though the petitioners submitted their applications on 16.8.2016, it was not accepted. It is also stated that the site for uploading the applications were closed on 15.8.2016.
3. Statement has been filed on behalf of the third respondent inter alia stating that the Apex Court in Parsvanath Charitable Case v. AICTE [2013 (3) SCC 385] has fixed 15.8.2016 as the last date for submission of applications for admitting the students against any vacancy.
