JUDGMENT
Petitioner is issued with Ext.P9 demand by the Kerala Water Authority by which petitioner is directed to pay an amount of Rs.2,01,257/-. It is challenging the said demand, petitioner has approached this Court seeking appropriate directions. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the Kerala Water Authority.
The subject issue is an appealable matter as provided under Section 17(d) of the Kerala Water Authority (Water Supply) Regulations, 1991. Since it is an appealable order I am not expressing anything on merit. However, it is submitted by the petitioner that, consequent to the issuance of Ext.P9 bill, the water connection is disconnected. I think it is only appropriate that the respondent can be directed to reconnect the same on the petitioner paying a reasonable amount before the competent among the respondents.
3. Therefore, there will be a direction to the petitioner to deposit an amount of Rs.15,000/- within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, and if so water connection shall be restored forth with.
4. If the petitioner makes any appeal within a period of two weeks, the same shall be treated as an appeal with
