JUDGMENT
This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the 1st respondent to consider Ext.P3 and take immediate steps to erect/place appropriate traffic signs in required areas of ordinary roads/State Highways/National Highways and further to issue charge memos to drivers in case of violation without any delay and for other related reliefs.
2. Brief facts for the disposal of the writ petition are thus; petitioner is a travel operator. He is operating the vehicles through drivers employed by him. On account of the failure on the part of the Motor Vehicle Department in erecting sign boards showing speed restriction in required areas, the drivers are charge sheeted for violation of maximum speed limit about which they are ignorant. So also it is contended that there is inordinate delay in issuing charge memos in case of violations enabling the driver who committed the violation to escape from the penalty. Seeking to ventilate the grievance, petitioner has submitted Ext.P3 representation before the 1st respondent. It is in this backdrop that this writ petition is filed by the petitioner.
