Heard Mr. S. Thoithoi, learned counsel for the
applicant.
The present misc. case has been filed by one Shri
Shimreiyo Shimray for impleading him as respondent No. 6 in this
PIL contending that he has not committed any offence and he is
innocent and any order passed by this PIL may damage his
interest.
This PIL has been taken up suo moto by this Court on
an application filed by the C.W. C., Imphal East drawing the
attention of this Court to certain aspect of serious concern about
a victim girl aged about 12 years in connection with an FIR No.
01(04)2017 WPS, Ukhrul U/S 6/8 POCSO Act, 2012 has been
registered. The matter is under investigation and the applicant is
an accused in the said FIR. There is also a serious allegation
against him by the police that he has evaded arrest and escaping
the process of law.
The applicant is filing this application for impleading
as respondent No. 6 in this PIL. Except for the fact that the
applicant is an accused in the said FIR case and since this PIL has
been taken up for certain issues
