Heard Mr. B. Prem Sharma, learned counsel for
the petitioner. Also heard Mr. N. Kumarjit, learned AG,
Manipur appearing for the State respondents and Mr. Y.
Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel for the respondent
No. 1.
By this contempt petition, the petitioner is
alleging non compliance of the order dated 08-06-2018
passed by this Court in PIL No. 1 of 2018. The operative
portion of the order reads as under:
“It has been submitted by Mr. B. Prem Sharma,
learned counsel for the petitioner that though there has
been
marked
improvement
in
preventing
illegal
occupation or parking on the side of the National
Highways,
the
Secretariat
Block
as
well
as
the
Chingmeirong areas of the National Highways are still

facing traffic congestion because of unregulated parking
of vehicles.
Learned AG, however, submits that actions
have been taken by the concerned authorities including
