The Appellants, namely Kulamani Behera and Sukanti Behera

are husband and wife. Kulamani has been convicted for the offence

under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (in short 8the I.P.C.9) and

Sukanti under Section 302/109 of the I.P.C. Both have been sentenced

to imprisonment for life.
