Affidavit of D.P. Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-

Financial Commissioner (Taxation), filed today in Court is taken on record.

A perusal of the same indicates that the violation as has been pointed out by

the petitioner, has been taken care of and in the light of the fact that main

writ petition i.e. Civil Writ Petition No.5827 of 2015 (Arrive Safe Society

Vs. State of Punjab) has been disposed of by the Division Bench vide order

dated 05.04.2016 where the counsel for the parties were ad-idem that after

the expiry of the Excise Policy for the year 2015-16, the writ petition has

been rendered infructuous, no further action is required to be taken, which

renders the present contempt petition infructuous.
