In the wake of instant surge in COVID – 19 cases and spread

of its highly infectious Omicron variant, abundant caution is being

maintained, while hearing the matters in the Court, for the safety

of all concerned.

The matter pertains to an incident which occurred on

19.07.1994 and the present criminal revision has been pending

since the year 1999.

This criminal revision petition under Section 397 read with

Section 401 Cr.P.C. has been preferred against the judgment

dated 22.10.1999 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge

No.1, Jodhpur in Criminal Appeal No.21/97, whereby the judgment

dated 30.05.1996 passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate,

Jodhpur in Case No.177/1994, convicting the revisionist-petitioner

was upheld. The petitioner was convicted for the offence under

Section 7/16 of Prevention of Food Adulteration Act and was

sentenced to
