Fact of the Case:
The petitioners, Feeder Managers, filed a writ petition in 2014 seeking a promotional avenue. In 2017, the Reconstituted Coordination Committee resolved to merge the post of Feeder Manager with the post of Assistant Engineer, giving them seniority from 2010-11 and 2011-12.
Finding of the Court:
The court noted that the Feeder Managers had agreed in writing to the assigned seniority in 2013. The court also affirmed the decision of the Reconstituted Coordination Committee and the corresponding amendment to the JVVNL Engineers Service Regulation, 2016.
Issues: Whether Feeder Managers are entitled to a promotional avenue.
Ratio Decidendi: The court held that the Feeder Managers are not entitled to any further relief as they had agreed to the assigned seniority and the merger of their posts with Assistant Engineer.
Final Decision: The writ petition was disposed of in terms of the order passed in another case (DB Civil Writ Petition No.13772/2016).
