Heard the learned counsel for the applicants and the learned

Public Prosecutor and also perused the material on record.

An FIR No.106/16 is registered against the applicant for

offences under Sections 135 & 138 of the Electricity Act, 2003

(‘the Act’) at Police Station, Prevention of Theft of Electricity, Pali.

The allegation against the applicant is that he indulged in

theft of electricity by tempering the meter.
