Order

09/03/2021

Appellants have filed the appeal challenging the order

dated 15.02.2021 passed by the learned Single Judge, whereby,

(2 of 2)

[SAW-242/2021]

application moved by the appellants for interim relief, was

declined.

We have heard learned counsel for the appellants and

have gone through the record available on the file carefully.

Appellants have filed the writ petition challenging the

order dated 25.01.2021, whereby, promotions were ordered from

Class-IV post to the post of Lower Division Clerk. It is the case of

the appellants that they were also liable to be considered for

promotion, whereas, junior to the appellants had been considered

and promoted vide the impugned order.

Learned Single Judge vide order dated 15.02.2021 has

declined to grant interim relief sought by the appellants. By way of

interim relief, appellants had sought that the operation and effect

of the impugned order dated 25.01.2021 be stayed. Vide the

impugned order, 41 persons have been ordered to be promoted.

The impugned order would be subject to the outcome of the writ

petition filed by the appellants. However, at this stage, there is no

occasion to stay the operation of the impugned order and to stop

the entire promotion process.

Dismissed.
