Both the appeals arise out of the same Sessions Trial No.180 of

1996, which pertains to case Crime No.11 of 1986 under

Section 302 IPC, Police Station Sarai Lakansi, District

Azamgarh. The first information report was lodged at the

concerned police station on 18.01.1986 at 4.30 a.m.

The appellants in both the appeals have been convicted under

Section 302/34 IPC and sentenced to life imprisonment.

A third appeal being Appeal No. 397 of 1986 had also been

filed.
