By means of the present writ petition, the petitioners herein seek to challenge the

notices issued on 7.12.2021 and 31.12.2021 by the Additional District

Magistrate (Land and Revenue), Jaunpur intimating the petitioners that they are

unauthorized occupants of the land belonging to the Archeology department and

in view of the letter dated 4.12.2021 of the Regional Archeological Officer, they

were intimated that eviction proceedings would be initiated against them.

On a query made by the Court, the learned counsel for the petitioners states that

the petitioners have submitted reply to the show cause notice but no order has

been passed after that.

Further, the learned counsel for the petitioners challenges the jurisdiction of the

Additional District Magistrate ( Land and Revenue) Jaunpur to issue notice to
