The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate

contempt proceeding against the opposite party for wilful

disobedience of the order dated 22.09.2020 passed in Public

Interest Litigation (PIL) No. 756 of 2020 (Wakeel Ahmad Vs.

State of U.P. and Others).

"Heard Sri Mohd. Aslam Khan, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned

Standing Counsel for the respondents No.1 to 4 and Sri Mahendra Singh,

learned counsel for the respondents No.7 to 11.

Learned Standing Counsel is directed to make over the copy of his

instructions to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel on the basis of the instructions submits that the

proceedings have been taken out under the relevant provisions of the Uttar

Pradesh Land Revenue Code, 2006 against the persons, who have

encroached upon the state land. The said proceedings are underway.
