Both the above captioned appeals, F.A.No.1123 of 2014

and F.A. No.1135 of 2014, arise from the same impugned order

dated 08.05.2014 passed by the District Consumer Disputes

Redressal Forum, Sangrur (in short “District Forum”) whereby the

complaint filed by the complainant has been allowed directing the

opposite parties No.1 & 2 to waive of the interest charged after

16.03.2013 on the death of Sh.Jagdeep Singh, husband of the

complainant. Opposite party No.3 was directed to make the payment

of `5,24,583.08 to the complainant along with interest at the rate of

9% per annum from the date of complaint till realization. The opposite

parties were further directed to pay an amount of `5,000/- in lieu of

consolidated amount of compensation and litigation expenses.

It would be apposite to mention at the outset that

hereinafter the parties will be referred, as have been arrayed before

the District Forum.

The complainant filed the complaint No.351 of 2013 under

Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (in short “the Act”)

against the opposite part
