          Dissatisfied by the order passed by CDRF, Kasaragod in CC No.210/11 the complainant came up in this appeal.

          2.       As the complainant requested for Legal Aid Adv. Selvi was appointed as amicascurie to assist this Commission on behalf of the appellant.  It is submitted by the counsel for the appellant that the complainant purchased Vinverth Emergency lamp from Dubai and was entrusted for repair with opposite parties.  It was not delivered within the time as promised causing mental agony to the complainant.  The opposite parties are the only authorized service centre of the vinverth emergency lamp.  The necessary spares for repair were not available with the opposite parties and contacted the manufacturer for the spare parts by the 1^st opposite party.  As the spare parts were not available the opposite parties could not return the lamp within one month.  It was purchased five years back from Dubai for 65 Dirhams and it was entrusted for repair on 21/05/2011.  The complainant had to suffer mental agony for not getting the emergency lamp repaired in time.  It also caused difficulties for the studies of his children as there had power cut even during rainy season.  The complainant filed this complaint for compensation of Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 3,000/- as cost of proceedings.  It is submitted by the counsel that the emergency lamp is a foreign made product and it has life time warranty.  The sole authorized agents are the 1^st and 2^nd opposite parties in India and they had not performed the repair in time.  The c complainant produced the receipt issued b y the 1^st opposite party on entrustment of the emergency lamp for repair.  The opposite party informed that the lamp will be returned through courier service which was not so far returned after repair.  The Forum Below allowed the complaint in part and hence filed this appeal for allowing the compensation and cost by the proceedings.
