Grievance in this application filed by applicant Sri Techgelum Kora

is against one Sri Sohelum Manyu R/o Village Sunpura Circle, Lohit

District, Arunachal Pradesh for illegal encroachment of forest land and

cutting of Katha trees. It is submitted that Sri Sohelum Manyu has

encroached upon the forest land at Digaru Forest Reserve and has cut

down the Khair, (Katha) trees and selling them outside the State for the

last several years. It is further submitted that he is also cultivating

opium and selling the same at Digaru Tinali regularly. It is next

submitted due to these illegal activities, the whole Khair plantation is

facing threat of extinction and all these kind of illegal activities are being
