Introduction
[1] This is a case concerning inheritance rights and the administration of an estate. At its heart lies a dispute between two individuals - the Plaintiff whose introduction to the Defendant was vide this suit - over their purported relationship to the deceased, Lim Kean Chie, who passed away intestate almost 35 years ago on 22 August 1989.
[2] This Court is to determine whether the Plaintiff has legitimate standing to claim a share in the deceased's estate, which has been under the Defendant's administration since 10 July 1990.
