JUDGMENT
Introduction
[1] This is the Petitioner's application for interim maintenance as detailed in para 66(c) of the Judicial Separation Petition dated 26 May 2023. The Petitioner seeks an interim maintenance payment of RM50,000.00 per month from the Respondent, pending the disposal of the Judicial Separation Petition.
Background Facts
[2] The Petitioner and the Respondent entered matrimony on 8 October 1987. Their union produced three children: Cheang Chu King (born 6 January 1988), Cheang Chu Wei (born 17 May 1990), and Cheang Chu Ching (born 27 October 1992), who are now 36, 33, and 31 years old, respectively.
[3] The Petitioner and the Respondent were in courtship since 1977, when the Petitioner was approximately 15 years old and the Respondent was 20 years old. During their courtship, the Respondent prohibited the Petitioner from working in any companies after she had completed her secondary education. Instead, the Respondent had only agreed for the Petitioner to conduct tuition classes from around 1981 until their marriage in 1987.
[4] At the material time, during their courtship, the Respondent was an emerging entrepreneur in the motor accessories industry
