[1] There are two matters before us namely Civil Application No 08-633-08- 2012(R) and Civil Appeal No 01(f)-20-08-2012(R). The Civil Application and Civil Appeal were filed by the plaintiffs ("appellants") against the decision of the Court of Appeal delivered on 27 July 2012. The Court of Appeal had dismissed the appellants' appeal against the award of compensation awarded by the High Court under the Land Acquisition Act 1960 ("LAA").
