1. this is a reference under section 20 of the industrial relations act regarding dismissal. (Para 1 , 2 , 3)

This is a Ministerial reference to the Industrial Court under section 20(3) of the Industrial Relations Act 1967 made on 20 March 2007 for an award in respect of the dismissal of Ahmad Nordin bin Mohammad ("the Claimant") on 10 May 2006 by Symmid Corporation Sdn. Bhd. ("the Company"). The said reference was received by the Court on 29 May 2007.

This case was first heard by Y. A. Dato' Umi Kalthum binti Abdul Majid, the former President of the Industrial Court on 24 November and 25 November 2008. She completed hearing the evidence of the Company's witness. Y.A. Dato' Urni was elevated as Judicial Commissioner of the High Court Malaya and the case was continued by her successor, Y.A. Puan Amelia Tee Hong Geok who heard the evidence of the Claimant on 29 April 2009 and 24 June 2009 and fixed for continuation of re-examination of the Claimant on 2 September 2009. However, on 16 August 2009, Y.A.
