This is an appeal against the decision of the Judge, Sessions Court, Taiping, Perak ("trial Court") who convicted the appellant on a charge under s. 4 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971 , whereby the appellant was sentenced to imprisonment for life and ordered to receive six strokes of the rattan.
