JUDGMENTBY: TEE AH SING J

: This is a petition for the grant of letters of administration (the LA) of the estate of Teh Siew Ing who died intestate -- by Ong Ka Kim, the petitioner -- to the High Court under O 71 r 5 of the Rules of the High Court 1980 (the RHC).

The application is supported by the affidavit of the petitioner. The relevant parts read as follows:

(1) I am the husband and lawful widower of the late Teh Siew Ing who

passed away intestate on 12 May 1995 at 5.52pm at Sibu General

Hospital (the deceased).

(2) My late wife who was a Malaysian citizen had during her lifetime

acquired the following eight parcels landed properties

particularized as follows:

(i) one third undivided right title share and interest in that parcel

of land situate at Bukit Samak, Rantau Panjang, Sibu, containing

an area of 3.675 hectares, more or less and described as Lot 2317

Seduan land district;

(ii) one third undivided right title share and interest in that parcel

of land situate at Rantau Panjang, Igan, Sibu, containing an area

of 1.5176 hectares, more or
