This was a reference by the Honourable Minister of Human Resources pursuant to s. 20(3), Industrial Relations Act 1967 arising out of the dismissal of Encik Louis Choo Ooi Thong (hereinafter referred to as "the claimant") by Marley Cooling Tower Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as "the company") on 31 July 2000.

The claimant informed the court in a letter dated 21 October 2004 that he had withdrawn his claim.

The claim was struck-off.
