[3] A winding-up order was made against the respondent on 26 May 2017 on the application of the petitioner and the Official Receiver ("OR") was appointed as the liquidator of the respondent. The petitioner now vide encl 65 applies for the OR be removed as liquidator of the respondent and that Wong Ching Yong of Messrs CRS Corporate Services Sdn Bhd be appointed as liquidator of the respondent in place of the OR. A secured creditor, Malaysia Building Society Berhad ("MBSB"), also vide encl 80 applies to appoint Mr Venkiteswaran Sankar of Messrs Hall Chadwick Corporate Advisory Sdn Bhd as liquidator of the respondent in place of the OR. Both the Petitioner and MBSB take the common position that the appointment of a private liquidator in place of the OR would be in the best interest of the liquidation and for a more effective management of the liquidation of the respondent.
