AWARD

The parties in this case are Pembangunan Papan Lapis (S) Sdn Bhd (Subsidiary Aokam Perdana Bhd) (hereinafter referred to as "the company") and Soo Man Fong (hereinafter referred to as "the claimant").

The parties went through a mediation process on 6 December 2004 and 14 November 2004 respectively. On 14 November 2004, the parties reached an amicable settlement for the sum of RM38,000 as full and final settlement to be paid in four installments in the following manner:

1. the first installment payment by a cheques dated 15 December 2004 made in favour of Messrs M.P. Pang & Co. for the sum of RM9,500;

2. the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th installment payment by individual cheques dated 15 Janauary 2005; 15 February 2005 and 15 March 2005 respectively made in favour of Messrs M.P. Pang & Co. for the individual sum of RM9,500 for each of these cheques.

The above mentioned cheques for the said sums as stated in items (1) and (2) above shall be sent by courier service to Messrs M.P. Pang & Co. by the company's solicitors on 15 December 2004.
