[1] The respondent was dismissed from the Royal Malaysian Police Force after the Disciplinary Board found him guilty of two charges. The first charge reads:
"Bahawa anda ... telah meminta wang suapan sebanyak RM5,000.00 daripada En Mohd Nursaifullah bin Hashim (KP: 780307-02-6249) bagi tujuan selesaikan kes tangkapan terhadapnya kerana dikatakan memandu dan memiliki kenderaan curi iaitu sebuah kereta Mercedes Benz no pendaftaran WHM 8123 dan selepas perbincangan anda bersetuju untuk menerima wang suapan sebanyak RM4,000.00 sebagai ganjaran untuk membebaskannya ..."
And the second charge reads:
"... Bahawa anda ... telah gagal untuk membuat laporan polis ke atas tangkapan En Mohd Nursaifullah bin Hashim (KP: 780307-02-6249) kerana dikatakan memandu dan memiliki kenderaan curi iaitu sebuah kereta Merced
