[1] Perayu, Murugan a/l Arumugam telah dituduh membunuh seorang bernama Muntik binti Hani (No Pasport: AK 072947) di antara 18 Oktober 2009 hingga 20 Oktober 2009, di No 11, Jalan Dato' Yusof Shahbudin 6, Taman Sentosa, Klang, Selangor, satu kesalahan yang boleh dihukum di bawah s 302 Kanun Keseksaan . Mahkamah Tinggi pada 19 Julai 2010 telah mendapati perayu bersalah di atas pertuduhan yang dikenakan, mensabitkan beliau dengan kesalahan tersebut; dan seterusnya menjatuhkan hukuman mati ke atas beliau.
