Introduction

[1] This is an appeal against the decision of this Court on 30 April 2024 which affirmed and upheld the decision of the learned Chairman of the Industrial Court ("IC") who allowed the Respondent's claim and ordered the Appellant, which is a Company, to pay a sum of RM212,080.00 to the Claimant less any statutory deductions, if any.

[2] For convenience and accuracy of the facts as presented by the parties in the High Court, in this Judgment, the parties are referred to as they were in the High Court.
