PONDICHERRY TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT, 1969

PREAMBLE

An Act to provide for planning the development and use of rural and urban land in the Union territory of Pondicherry and for purposes connected therewith.

BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Pondicherry in the Twentieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:--

Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Pondicherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969.

(2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Pondicherry.

(3) It shall come into force on such 1[date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.]
