The petitioner was holding the post of Field Officer and he was

awarded punishment of recovery of Rs.1,37,175.97/- along with interest to

be recovered from retiral benefits along with punishment of censure. The

order of punishment dated 07.06.2011 was passed by the Managing

Director, PUNSUP. Admittedly, against such order passed by the Managing

Director, PUNSUP, petitioner availed of his statutory remedy of filing an

appeal before the Chairman,/Appellate Committee, Punjab State Civil

Supplies Corporation Ltd, on 06.09.2011. Counsel for the petitioner

submits that till date, no order has been passed on the statutory appeal

preferred by the petitioner.

In the light of the facts noticed hereinabove, I deem it

appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to

respondent No.1 i.e. Chairman, Punjab State Civil Supplies

Corporation Ltd. to consider the appeal dated 06.09.2011 (Annexure P-

7) filed by the petitioner strictly in accordance with law and to pass, a

speaking order thereupon within a period of 3 months from the date of

receipt of a certified copy of this order.

Petition stands disposed of.
