JUDGMENT

Ian H.C. Chin J:

I granted an ex parte Mareva injunction against all the defendants on the 9 February 1994 and which injunction, after hearing all the parties, I on the 26 February 1994 ordered to be continued until the trial of this action. The 2nd to the 9th defendants appealed against the grant of the injunction but the appeal was dismissed by the Federal Court which ordered the trial of this action to take place in October 1994. I was instructed to hear this case and for that purpose I ask to hear the summons for directions so that the proper directions can be given for the trial of this case. But before the hearing of the summons for directions scheduled for 2 September 1994, Counsel for the parties saw me in chambers and Mr. Sugumar Balakrishnan, Esq., Counsel for the 2nd to the 9th defendants, applied to have me disqualified from hearing the case. I heard arguments of both Counsel and I also heard further argument this morning therafter which I indicated that I will deliver my written decision at 11.00 a.m.
