BJP and SAD in Talks to Revive Alliance for Lok Sabha Polls, Seat-Sharing Formula to be Finalized Soon

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in talks with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) to revive their alliance ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The two parties are discussing a seat-sharing formula that would give the BJP more seats than it had in the previous election. The BJP is also trying to woo back some of the SAD's breakaway factions, which had joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in 2020 but left in protest over the Centre's farm laws. If the BJP and SAD are able to come to an agreement, it would give them a strong chance of winning a majority of seats in Punjab in the Lok Sabha elections.
