FIR Against Girlfriend Quashed

The Bombay High Court has quashed an FIR against a girlfriend in a cruelty case, ruling that she is not a relative of her estranged husband. The court observed that the definition of 'relative' under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) does not include a girlfriend.
