The petitioner, a 33-year-old man, challenged an externment order issued by the authorities that restricted him from entering the Kannur Revenue District for a period of six months. The petitioner was involved in three criminal cases, two of which were minor offenses.

The court disposed of the writ petition, limiting the externment order to the date of the judgment and imposing the condition of periodic reporting to the police station. The court emphasized that any violation of the condition would allow the respondent to proceed against the petitioner in accordance with the law.
