The Delhi High Court has appointed Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav to head the UAPA Tribunal, which will review the ban on the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). The ban was first imposed in 2001 and has been extended several times since then. The UAPA Tribunal is tasked with determining whether the ban should be upheld or lifted.
