The present Criminal Appeals have been filed by the appellants-Sheetal (Crl.A. 126/2018) and Inderjeet Singh (Crl.A. Nos.247/2018 ) under Section 374(2) Cr.P.C. against the common judgment of conviction dated 23.12.2017 and common order on sentence dated 29.01.2018 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Rohini Courts, Delhi whereby, the appellants have been convicted under Section 302/120B IPC. For the offence punishable u/s 120B IPC, the appellants have been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of five years each and a fine of Rs. 5000/- each and in default of payment of fine, they shall undergo simple imprisonment for one month each. They have been further sentenced to undergo life imprisonment for the offence punishable u/s 302 IPC and a fine of Rs. 25,000/- each, and in default of payment of fine, they shall undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months each. Both the sentences were ordered to not run concurrently.
