JUDGMENT :

(Prathiba M. Singh, J.) :—

1. This hearing has been done through hybrid mode.

2. The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner Association-Curling Association of India which claims to be formed for the promotion of the sport of ‘Curling’ in India. The Petitioner has filed this petitioner seeking quashing of the letter dated 28.05.2019 issued by the Secretary General of Indian Olympic Association to the World Curling Federation, endorsing the Respondent No. 5- Curling Federation of India as the National Sports Federation for Curling in India.

3. It is the case of the Petitioner that it had been recommended to the World Curling Federation (‘WCF’) for grant of recognition by the Respondent No. 2- Indian Olympic Association (‘IOA’) in 2013 and has been making efforts to get recognition from World Curling Federation. However, the Petitioner Association became aware that the IOA had given a letter endorsing the Respondent No. 5- Curling Federation of India (CFI) to the WCF. It is claimed by the Petitioner that the endorsement to CFI by the IOA was without any authority.
