JUDGMENT

Vibhu Bakhru, J. The appellant has filed the present appeal impugning a judgment dated 29.11.2016 in A.C. No. 54/2016, whereby the appellant and his brother (Ravinder Sharma) were convicted for the offences punishable under Section 120B of the INDIAN PENAL CODE , 1860 (IPC) read with Sections 420 /476/468/471 of the IPC and Sections 13 (2) and 13(1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (hereafter the `PC Act'). The appellant was sentenced to undergo three years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.4,00,000/- and in default of payment of fine to undergo simple imprisonment for a further period of six months. The appellant's brother Ravinder Kumar (since deceased) was also sentenced for committing offences punishable under Sections 120B/420/467/468/471 of the IPC and Sections 13 (2
