1. By this writ application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the writ applicant, a former employee of the Gujarat Rajya Khadi Gramodyog, has prayed for the following reliefs;

"(A) a writ of mandamus or a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction may kindly be granted quashing and setting aside the impugned order of punishment dated 2.1.2001, which is at Annexure-A to the petition, imposing punishment of compulsory retirement and consequently direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner as Executive Officer with respondent Board with full backwages and all consequential benefits;

(B) pending admission hearing and final disposal of this petition this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to stay the implementation, execution and operation of the impugned order of punishment dated 2.1.2001 at Annexure-A and direct the respondents to allow the petitioner to perform his duties as Executive Officer with the respondent Board;

(C) grant such other and further reliefs as the Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the case."
