( 1 ) IN this writ application the petitioner, Laxmi Narayan, has prayed for a direction upon the respondents to accept his admission in the M. B. B. S. course at the Rajendra Medical College, Ranchi for the Session starting from 2001. According to the petitioner he passed his Matriculation Examination in the 1st Division from Gauri Dutt Randelia High School at Ranchi in 1996. He has relied upon the Matriculation Certificate issued by Bihar School Examination Board in support of the aforesaid contention which also, inter alia, shows that he was born on 24-12-1981. The Petitioner also contends that he passed B. Sc. in the 1st Division in April, 1998 from St. Xavier College, Ranchi whereafter he appeared in the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, 2001 for admission to the M. B. B. S. Course. The Petitioner states that on successful completion of the aforesaid examination he was asked to produce necessary documents for his admission in the Rajendra Medical College at Ranchi.
