1. Being dissatisfied with the quantum of compensation awarded by the Reference Court in favour of the claimants in LAOP Nos. 1443 and 1429 of 2008 respectively, Appeal Suit Nos. 19 and 20 of 2012 have been filed by the land owners/claimants. As against the very same award, the Land Acquisition Officer has filed Appeal Suit Nos. 31 and 32 of 2015, questioning the enhancement of the compensation amount from Rs.1,500/- to Rs.29,430/- per cent in favour of the land owners/claimants. Since both the appeals arise out of a common Decree and Judgment dated 23.02.2011 passed by the Sub Court, Kancheepuram, these four appeals are taken up for hearing together and are disposed of by this common judgment.
