JUDGMENT
R.C. Khulbe, J. - In this petition, the petitioners have prayed for the following reliefs :
'i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding the respondent Nos. 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioners and also direct to see, the couple are not harassed by anyone nor subjected to threats or acts of violence due to their marriage.
ii) To pass a suitable writ, order or direction in favour of petitioners which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the present case.'
2. The case of the petitioners is that they both are Hindu by religion. They got married with each other on 04.12.2022, at Shiv Mandir, Laksar, District Haridwar, as per Hindu rites and rituals. According to the petitioners, they did not disclose the fact relating to their marriage to their family members till 15.12.2022. Thereafter, they got registered their marriage on 15.12.2022 before the Registrar, Compulsory Registration of Marriages, Haridwar.
3. According to the petitioners, respondent Nos. 3 and 4, who are brothers of petitioner No. 1, never accepted their relationship and, they are not happy with this marriage.
