Dharmadhikari, J. -- 1. This appeal under Clause 10 of the Letters Patent of the High Court has been preferred by the High Court (from its administrative side) against the judgment of learned Single Judge (Hon'ble Shri N.P. Singh, J.) dt. 18.10.96, passed in Writ Petition 413 of 1996. The learned Single Judge has allowed the writ petition filed by the respondent Shri R.C. Chandel, presently posted as District & Sessions Judge, Rewa.

The learned Single Judge by allowing the petition has made direction to the High Court to re-consider the case of petitioner for his admission to the Higher Selection Grade, on the norms which existed in the year 1992 with all consequential benefits. 3. The respondent Shri R.C. Chandel is a confirmed Member of the Higher Judicial Service of the State of Madhya Pradesh w.e.f. 5.5.85. He was held entitled to be awarded the Lower Selection Grade by order of the High Court passed on 7.9.90 w.e.f 24.3.89.
